been a long time since i posted, i have had the mono's for about a year and they have been great. currently i'm driving a pr of magnepan mgiiia's and want a change.  i love em but i'm tired of the 6 foot monoliths in my living room

somone within 50 miles has a pr of mint thiel cs2.2 at a price i can afford.

does anyone have an opinion on them or thiel's and odyssey amps

I had the Odyssey Stratos Plus paired with my Thiel CS2.4 and they sounded very good - detailed and transparent and bass was quite adequate. You must listen to the Thiels at least 8 feet away, no nearer. The Coherent Source technology at the recommended listening position provides good imaging (width and depth) and absolute neutrality.
This may not be an exact comparison of what you are looking for but I think you can have a rough idea. I would imagine the Monos will better control the bass and etch a finer soundscape!
