What an amazing talent. He pushed the limits of subculture even managing to break through to the mainstream despite being challenging to the status quo. An amazing life and a tragic death.

A true pioneer of punk, rock and making the music an art form.  He was serious about his music, and his influence never stopped.  I was shocked to hear the news...was just listening to his contribution to the Rob Wasserman Duets album last night!

I must have played Lou Reed's "Rock n Roll Animal" LP ten thousand times. What a tremendous tour de-force in rock and roll that album was! Lou Reed and Steve Hunter were just stunning. He was a very influential talent. RIP.

was listening to Metric and realized that Lou Reed did the backup vocals to this track.
