Requesting some assistance from members to purchase an analogue sounding, yet detailed DAC under $1k
With that said, I have been only casually  played my system that has highly evolved over the years. Please see Gallery within profile.  I have lost the magic in my big rig, my highly modded Shanling T200 simply refuses to turn on the Laser disc, readout section and I have been sans player for over 7 months.  :duh: I can't find anyone to repair it...alas I'm looking to get into the Discless and Streaming side of audio. I know always late to the party.

I'm all over the board for a dedicated DAC, r2r?, Delta Sigma, I have not heard properly to draw any conclusions.  I want to be able to primarily use as a solid DAC first via transport CDP, coaxial.  2nd: Via a streamer to unitize MQoA, Roon, Tidal, etc. Must be able to support DSD,

Looking at these contenders:

Chord Mojo
Schiit Bi Frost Multibit
Denafrips Ares
Musical Paradesia Spelling?
Chord Hugo pre owned

Any help is appreciated :D

Any other suggestions welcome.

If you contact me tomorrow by PM I may be able to help you with your desire to replace your Shanling, an analogue sounding DAC and the Aries Mini.

I've got a couple suggestions:

I've actually heard these DACs....the Gustard X20u, the Gustard X20 Pro [I think that's the name. It's got dual 9028 chips.], or Nuprime DAC-9.

I have not heard the Mojo, but I've read many good things about it.

Another option would be a used pa audio stellar dac. I see them going for 1k and the sound is very nice. Often the nuprime dac10s go for 1k too.

I would look for a used Chord 2Qute, if you do not need the headphone amp section.  It is basically a Hugo Chord without the headphone amp section, plus it has galvanic isolation, something that the Hugo does not have and it is supposed to sound better than the Hugo.  There were 2 for sale on audiogon the other day.

I purchased an RmeADI-2DAC about 4 to 5 weeks ago. Has lot's of options you won't find in many DAC's unless your spending $2500-$3000. W/five different filters and a Parametric EQ you can really shape the tone of your music. :thumb:

That looks like an interesting DAC.  Wish I could hear one.

Bel Canto DAC 2.5 for $1000 or less.
It meets your criteria, and then some ....
Not only Analog sound, but detailed, musical, fast, accurate.

I bought a 2.5 DAC some years ago, then I went broke and had to sell it.
But then when I got $ again, I bought another 2.5 DAC.
AT that price point, this DAC is very hard to beat.
