The Christian McBride album 'Getting' To It' has a supercut for bass. Christian is playing the a bass solo on the last cut, Night Train. It is THE most stupendous bass cut I've ever heard. You can hear every nuance of the standup bass. I'm a lover of Stanley Clarke, Victor Wooten, Brian Bromberg, Marcus Miller, etc. The rest of the album is also good, but that one cut is worth the price of admission by itself.
John McLaughlin Trio's 'Que Alegria' is an awesome sounding disc with a whole lot going on in percussion in addition to McLaughlin's guitar playing and the bass. A lot of fun on this one.
Josefine Cronholm album 'Wild Garden' is beautifully recorded with very nice music. Very easy to listen to and it grows on you.
