Purist and power cords

The Purist uses the same power cord as our MB-100 monoblock amplifier (w/ a 400W power supply) so current-power is not an issue.

The Purist also has a built-in power line EMI/RF filter that knocks the noise down by as much as -42dB. Many times when line level audio components have built-in power line filters swapping power cords doesn't make much of a difference.

I do suggest trying different cords if you like (as long as you don't have to buy expensive cords for testing) and see if it makes a difference in your system. My guess is the effect may be inaudible.

On line conditioning and additional filtering: One fellow in HK, who has quite a bit of line conditioning gear and noise filters, said  he thought the Purist sounded better when plugged directly into the wall bypassing his conditioning/filtering gear with its own stock power cord.

That said, experiment away and let us know what you discover  :D  Maybe we can learn something with all the auditions going on.
