Paste Wax Okay on the Macassar Ebony Veneer?

I imagine Louis can clue me in on this, but I was considering using Johnson Paste Wax on my SHO Alnico Monitors.  Is this inadvisable for any reason?  I'm a semi-competent woodworker and regularly use cherry in my projects and finish with poly-varnish or shellac, with a few coats of wax.  I buff the wax out with a disk brush on a driver-drill.

Wax on, wax off, looks okay.  Thanks.  Thread closed.

I thought I read somewhere (here on this forum) that the veneer is pre-treated with some type of coating and Louis only recommended using a dusting cloth and no other products. I'm not sure if that still applies to the current veneer offerings though.

I'm pretty sure when I asked Louis about what to use on my Super 3 XRS in Birdseye Maple/Cherry, he advised simply using a little bit of beeswax on the veneer.
