People think audiophiles are nuts, well....

The Original Batmobile just sold for 4.2 million

That's nuts

You could have bought a fully restored 69 Boss 429 S code, a fully restored 65 Shelby GT 350 with Webers, a fully restored 66 Shelby GT 350, and a 54 Packard Panther Concept and still have had over 2 million in your pocket

You could have bought 5 fully restored XKE's and hired a full time mechanic (which you would need) for about 1.5 million

What's really nuts is that same Batmobile sold at Barrett Jackson in the early 90s for 60 grand.  I was there.  Now that would have been a great investment.  Let's see, a thousand or so shares of Apple stock and the batmobile in 91 and I'd have ten million bucks now.
