I’m asking this very non-audio related question because fellow members are probably the most aesthetically astute people I know.

But I’m having trouble deciding between Metallic Slate http://images.gtcarlot.com/pictures/71132951.jpg

and Brilliant Silver  http://images.gtcarlot.com/pictures/70749880.jpg

And it’s rather important since I buy rather than lease and so I tend to hold onto to cars for several years.

Any questions or comments welcome.

But I need to buy this car no later this Friday 2/5/16!

Thanks.

Black if you keep it really clean, silver if you don't.

Had a black BMW years ago.  Looked the business when spotless, especially at night.  Took frequent effort to keep it looking great.

Have a silver minivan.  Wash it whenever.  Looks just as mundane clean!

The Altima is a nice car (I have owned a ton of Accords), and I think the dark grey you link to is the way to go if you can keep up with the washes, tire dressing etc.

+1 Gray shades are also relatively easy to keep looking good....but silver is the easiest in my experience.

I totally agree with the others.

But as for the car you really need to check out the reviews for the car.
The car has a CVT transmission.

Here is just one web site, using Goggle, of many.

My vote is for Pearl White.  Easy to take care of and looks classy.  I had a black Maxima - never again.

What color is the dirt in your area?  I almost never wash a car, and around here beige works the best with silver being 2nd best.

Had a white car get hit in the winter while legally parked under a parking lot light, so never again will I buy white here in the great white north.

For visibility gold, orange, or red are best.

We rented a royal blue Altima years ago while on vacation and got several complements.

I have a 2012 Altima in Pearl White, so guess what color I would recommend?

No, it's not as nice of a PW as a Lexus or some other makes, but I still like it.

Yes, I’ve read horror stories when Googling [2013 nissan altima noise when accelerating ], I found this http://x.nissanhelp.com/forums/altima/23629-2013-altima-engine-noise-recall.html , where apparently one owner returned his 2013 Altima to a dealer who replaced a transmission belt which he claimed fixed this noise problem.

The equally, if not more so, Honda Accord also has a CVT trans, though it’s their own design. I read on the wiki that Nissan’s been using CVTs for the last 18 years; you’d think they’d have all of the bugs worked out of it by now. I’d go for the 2013 Accord, but with leather and a moonroof  its > $3500 extra.

The Altima I buy will have ~ 36K miles and a Certified warranty on the engine and trans. I’m not much of a traveler; commute 12 miles each way to work and shopping. So I won’t be doing much highway driving with this 4 cyl car. I don’t know if that’s good or bad for the car. I do know that if I hear any excessive noise when accelerating at low speeds and/or get trans “shuddering”, when I test drive it that the dealer would have to fix those problems, or else no sale.
