it's a early telefunken ecc81.the bottom is too narrow,missing a B,the code should be YKB ⊥6,so it's a telefunken ecc81 made in AUG,1953. :lol:




These Telefunken marked with philips codes are pretty rare, only about half dozen times I've seen these in about 20 years of tube collecting! :D

it says that those kind ecc81 only produced in very short period,it's also my first time to see those kind code telefunken tube.

E80CC pinched waist D foil getter. made by philips venolanda (holland) factory in 1956
it can replace ecc82.

Never heard about Citron and seems there is no info about this brand, do you have any of these Citron tubes so you can post a pic?

Excuse my fault the pronounce is citron, but the spelling is Cetron.
Its a know late brand of tubes, supposed to be made in USA.

Oh Cetron! yes I know that brand, but I think Cetron didn't manufacture any ecc8x tubes...at least I never heard or read about

I think Cary audio was the first company using Cetron 300B in their amplifiers.

THis small tube had a paper label.  One must remove the paper label before use the tube to avoid over heating??

but look to me like thick textured paint, not paper ? ? ?

Hi, FULLRANGEMAN, I don't think it  is easy to remove the label once it been applied on the glass and for visual appearance no one will remove it :lol: :lol:

if you removed that paper label it will lost a lot value. :lol: people will think it's a brimar tube.
