Roger Waters -- The Wall tour -- please review

Being a huge Pink Floyd fan, I was hoping that since Roger Waters' tour has officially kicked off, people would slowly start posting some reviews. . .this being the thread to post them in.

I was at opening night in Toronto.
I am a huge Floyd/Waters/Gilmour fan and While "The Wall" may not be my favorite album musically I thought the show was very good.Everthing was there in full effect and the sound was right on with the exception of a couple of opening night glitches.
I found that Roger being 67, is more of a ring leader now, delegating alot of the singing and playing duties to the wonderful musicians that he surrounds himself with.
Snowy White was fantastic as usual and the very under rated G.E. Smith was also great.
The show is quite political and has been updated to reflect the current state of the world.
As great as the show was ,I think I enjoyed the DSOTM tour 2 years ago more.
Having said that I am glad I went and don't regret the $450 spent on 2 tickets

Was pretty blown away at Waters show at MSG last nite. First and foremost > incredible sound, band was tight, alot of energy, good jamming. The wall, special effects, all added to the experience making it quite the spectacle. Loved the NYC boys choir singing the chorus parts of Another Brick In The Wall. Run Like Hell was a personnal fav.

If your remotely a fan, I would RUN LIKE HELL to see it

Went to the first Nassau Coliseum show last night - one of the original show locations (and yes, I was there for the original show too).

Very much the same basic show that was presented in an extremely limited fashion 30 odd years ago, except there was a much larger band and Waters was the only ex-Pink Floyd member present. The music was first rate, but essentially exactly as it is played on the album, with some minor exceptions in solo's and such.

The "show" however is truly amazing. If you've seen the movie and enjoyed it then you need to see this show in a live setting. The main difference from the original show was that they projected video across the wall during the entire show. Very cool graphics. Also, the teacher and wife puppets did not come out again at the end, during the trial sequence, as they did in the original show.

It was a great spectacle and a truly unique concept and performance. Less a "concert" and more of a "show", for sure. But it is mind blowing when you consider that this is a revival of a show that was conceived and presented 30 years ago.

It was a great show. Singing is better (Roger was younger) on my stereo with vinyl but the band and the ambiance was better live.

I too was there yesterday and this show was indeed mind blowing. Absolutely phenomenal performance I'm glad I was able to see in this lifetime.

I did suspect they'd do something a little more elaborate for the trial, but none-the-less amazing.
