NEW AVA WEB SITE UP AND RUNNING THIS MORNING
« on: 29 Apr 2010, 11:14 AM »
Our web site, www.avahifi.com finally has its major overhaul completed and is up and running right now.  Please come and visit us.

It still needs a few new photos, in the works, and might still have a a few bugs, but we think you will find it easier to use than ever and is full of information.

I won't be able to respond to questions for the next few days as I will be off to the AKFest for the weekend, but will be back here by next Tuesday.

Best regards,

Frank Van Alstine

Using IE I see the new website.  Using Firefox, the old one.  So odd.

Firefox worked fine for me this morning.  Maybe flush the cache...

Seeing the old website in both IE and Firefox here. If he changed servers then it could take awhile for the new DNS info to propagate.

Frank,
The pics of the equipment, slanted from the top,do not let the viewer see the control panel clearly(same issue with former site). Also some views of the rear panel would be helpful.Just a thought.

Frank,

The gray on white lettering is difficult to read. Black would be much more clear.

I didn't get it on Firefox just now but then I opened it on IE - THEN I was able to get it on Firefox.

To see the new site, you probably will need to empty the cashe for your web browser first to get rid of links to the older version.

Looks nice. Looks like a template?
Anyways, its definitely worth getting a photographer to take pics of your products, as perception rules.

Since I'm seeing the same site I'm familiar with can anyone tell me what the difference is?  I see the same yellow fade to white background and products appear to be the same (although I didn't expect a big change in the line-up) and don't see the new Ultravalve amp anywhere.

I did perform a "delete browsing history" in IE removing all cookies, files, etc. and no change.  Am I missing something?

If you've deleted all the cache and what not, hit the refresh button on your browser. It will force it to go out and hit the server again, hopefully you see the new one. You should hit refresh while on the AVA website.

Looks very nice Frank. Elegant, and easier to navigate.   :thumb:

JakeJ, Art - maybe dump any old link in your favorites, then select Frank's link in 1st post ? Only a wild guess.  :dunno:

Are you using Internet Explorer 8?  When you delete browsing history, Preserve Favorites website data is checked by default and will keep temporary files for bookmarked sites.  If so, uncheck that and try again.
