Again I am guarantying our room to be one of the best sounding rooms at the show and I guarantee no room or any other speaker to have better sounding bass response.

The kit cost for this version using the P-Audio BM12-CX38 driver will be $2,495.

Yes I modified the compression driver. It is not really a compression driver any more. It is open backed and now completely open baffle from 20Hz to 20kHz. And each speaker has a pair of our SW-12-16FR servo controlled subs in open baffle.

These cabinets were made by Eric (Eargasm). That's a Grey died birds eye Maple in the center of the side panels. Side panels are 1.25" thick and all of the inside around the subs are lined with No Rez.

Good Lord those are pretty! I wish I could go to the show and listen to them first hand. Oh well, I guess I will have to live vicariously through any of the attendees who post impressions. Excellent work Danny and good luck at the show.

Best.......Carlo.

Looks great Danny!

It appears you reduced the height with the elimination of the original rear firing tweeter, did you add additional tilt to the previous 3 degrees?  Are the revised plans available?

Best,
Ed

I figured people at the show might want to see what is there.

Separate enclosure behind the speaker.

The height is suppose to be the same. Eric inadvertently made them a little shorter.

I added a footer for the front spikes that tilts it back a little.

Not this time. I'll be using a totally off the grid system from Dodd Audio. Tube amps and a tube pre-amp all battery powered. And man, do they sound good!

:D These speakers have 97db sensitivity. Gary's new 15 watt, battery powered, stereo tube amp, drove them to concert levels (Easily!).

Looks like the Darth Vader of speakers, and if that is not coincidence, I bet they will kick everyone's but 's.  Sounds like a passive version of Emerald, with better sound and incredible finish.

Wow, those are going to be awesome!  One more thing to look forward to hearing this weekend.  The challenge may be to go listen to anything else.

Nice looking speakers Danny. Personal opinion of course but I like 'em better with the grills on. With Gary's gear being off the grid, it should also be a dead quiet system. Best of luck at the show!

Are there any plans for the enclosure available?  Would love to see them.

A new dream speaker is born.

What kind of front end will they be played with at the show?

Great looking speakers Danny!  Wish I could come this year to see and hear them but it's not gonna happen.

So, the difference is the coax drivers?  Is the V using BM12CXA and the Super-V is BM12CX38?

Here is a link to the original plans:

Based on Danny's earlier responses it sounds as if the plans are basically the same minus the rear firing tweeter and a slightly larger cutout for the P-audio unit.

Best,
Ed

Ed nailed it.

Me too.

Is the V using  and the Super-V is BM12CX38?

Yep. V-1 uses the BM12CXA. V-2 (Venuette) uses the BM8CXA, and the Super-V uses BM12CX38.

Gary Dodd's new batter power tube amp and pre-amp will be delivering the goods, and I think, setting a new standard for everything else to have to catch up to.
