It's getting to be that time of year! RMAF 2009

I have never been to RMAF, but I would like to attend if possible (if the planets are aligned, and my wife lets me).

Anyone attending or considering attending RMAF this year?

I wish I could, the problem is my daughter, she is getting married on October 3rd and needs someone to walk her down the isle and then pay all the bills! 

I hope to attend in 2010.

We will be there, displaying with Jim Salk (Salksound) and his great speakers.

As usual, we will have some interesting new things there that should get your attention.

Wayner will be helping us this year and making the trip with me.

Don't worry.  The Audi factory limited Frank's S6's top speed to 155 MPH or thereabouts.  :o

I believe this electronically controlled speed limit is for cars sold in Germany ( 155mph or 250 kmh is the maximum allowed on autobahn), but it does not have to be installed on export cars. So, I would be worried...

And then there are the Salk folks. George (Zybar) is a beer aficionado, and I suspect that Dennis won't object to a beer or two.

lonewolfny42: I don't think that I have ever seen a photo of him where he didn't have a beer!

(I doubt that they serve anything but crap for beer at the Marriott.)

This should be a blast.  I hope that I can attend.

Yah, US models do have the darn 156 mph speed limiter.  The European models don't and the owner's manual says they top out at 186 mph.

Why is it that fast?  Very low drag numbers in the Avant model and 350 HP.

Yah, its got ZZZWOWJC tires good for that speed and more.

I've never had it up to more than 135 in my old age.

Always a nice Friday night (6PM) get-together in the The Lift Restaurant and Lounge at the Marriott....and their beer and food is quiet good. :wink:

I am now registered for a 3-day pass. Next I'll continue watching airfares from EWR to DEN till I just break down and spend the money :o See you guys at the Lift 8)

Well Paul....since Wayner is going this year....and he enjoys vinyl....maybe a turn table will be in the room this year. 8)
