For sale are rare 6H8C military grade Russian tubes, black "T" plates, nickel base, manufactured in 1950's!!! NEW (NOS).
All tubes are brand new NOS - never used.

New Pricing!!  Selling for $220 per quad, $110 per pair or $55 per a single tube + shipping.

These rare high quality dual triodes from 50's feature superior sound quality and extended durability. 6H8C is a direct equivalent of the 6SN7, 6SN7GT tubes.

These tubes are actually rarer than the fabled Tung Sol oval plates, and actually sound better than the famous Tung-Sol round plates.

Here are some more images:

What are the specs for the plate voltage for these tubes?

Here's a link to regular 6H8C specs. http://www.klausmobile.narod.ru/testerfiles/6n8s.htm

I'm not sure though how it's applied to this particular military version which should have higher plate voltage, but how much higher, i have no idea.

Here are a couple interesting threads where people claim the difference between the types of metal base 6H8C:

Again, I haven't heard a pair of "real" 1578, but the posters above claim that the 1578 is the only one that sounds really good
