Empire 208, part II

It lives and breathes!
More tweaks required to allow additional VTA offset, up^.
We did run it through it's paces and the mechanical noise is minimal, all present thought it to be good.
Many thanks to Peter, Edwin, John, and Denise.
Hap some great pizza and a swim.

These shots are missing the motor cover, and as of yet we haven't completed the surface finish of the plinth.
It looks like empire #2 & #3 are going to utilize the Jelco SA250, rewired.
I really have been scratching my head to visualize an armboard that I can dfit an adjustable on the fly VTA.
Think I might mount the armboard on a 3/8" plate that has 3~5/8" diameter drill bushings mounted on its perimeter which fit upon 3~5/8" dowel pins mounted in the plinth.
I think about spring loading and using a micrometer spindle to raise and lower the armboard?
Any thoughts?
Working also on the strain gauge phono stage.
Have a DIY design that i am sourcing bits for.
Thanks for looking.

For VTA-on-the-fly try Pete Riggles VTAF  :thumb:

God stuff...no locking nut on tonearm seems weird at first, but somehow it works.

Up and running in my new pad.
The isolation base lets me crank metal and punk with very minimal feedback.

Love to demo it John... :D
