A Pace Car landed here two weeks ago for duty with Off Ramp Turbo 2 spdif AN DAC (heavily upgraded kit DAC2.1). The Off Ramp sans Pace Car was no performance slouch but straight out of the box the Pace Car showed a big improvement - and in a way I had not experienced before. Crystal clear sound (very real), detailed - but concerned - I had heard this type of sound before and very soon it can sound tiring. The opposite - crystal clear very detailed BUT very easy & relaxing on the ears. A digital first ?. Now with 2 weeks continuous running the sound has opened up considerably. I would be interested to compare a top CD player but not easy to see how this could be improved on. My famously "not interested in hi-fi" wife commented the sound is "very clear and very easy to listen to" - high praise indeed !. Nice one Steve.
