Well, I moved to Chicago area so I'll give my best to visit this show one of the days.

Given the fact I will only be able to visit the show for one day only, what would be the best day to do so in order to "optimize" too many people vs not yet ready rooms?

Hi NavyDoc,

Most likely not... the next shows are Munich, LAAS, and then probably RMAF.

Getting ready to fly to Chicago now... AXPONA is calling!

Hi TimS,

No - at Munich Spatial Audio (Clayton) is teaming up with his German Distributor who has his own line of products that he sells and I believe they will use the DEQX with the X1s to handle the required crossover / EQ duties.

I'll have a small, static display with LIO this year (my first year attending) and my main reasons for going are to meet people and to take the time to scope out this global show.  Then I'll plan well in advance for a more significant showing in 2018.

Hi jtwrace,

See you there!

Hi Pete,

Yes - and your cables are all burned in and ready for action tomorrow!  8)

I used to live for some time in Munich, great city.

If you get some spare time don't miss this: http://www.neuschwanstein.de/englisch/tourist/
In case you want a beer in the evening and you are downtown http://www.kiliansirishpub.com/ (Not a typical German one, the name says it all), but great atmosphere (at least it used to be).

The BMW museum and '72 Olympic park are on the same side of town as the Expo.

For a jolt of history (1923 Bierhalle Putsch), the Feldherrnhalle at Odesonsplatz has an U-Bahn stop right underneath it, and from there the nicest parts of the pedestrianized city center are a great place to spend time.

The Rathaus Glockenspiel (Town Hall clock) at Marienplatz is pretty neat, and from there head in to Ludwig Beck department store to get a feeling for the poverty of retail in the anglo saxon world!

You weren't thinking of just going there for the Expo and coming back were you?

All,

I'm back from Munich.  It was an awesome show and such an eye-opener for me!  :o 8)  Occasionally I read articles in hifi magazines and online stating that "the high audio audio industry is dying...", or something of that nature.  Try visiting the Munich High End Show next year - I cannot believe anyone would think this way after experiencing this tremendous, well-organized, and global-minded show.  I met so many people and talked the four days away (and also got to walk around and see so many exhibits).  To all those who visited me, it was my pleasure to meet you, and thank you for your time.

Simply put, Munich has given me a lot to think about...

Here is a pic that one of my customers from Austria took of me at my table (showing a LIO DHT Integrated Amplifier):

I was fortunate to be able to exhibit in Munich (I jumped in very late), special thanks to Gunther Frohnhofer of Acoustic Signature who let me use an exhibit table in his 18-meter long exhibit space!  If you are not familiar with Acoustic Signature, they have been making incredibly well-built and fantastic sounding turntables and tonearms in Germany for over 20 years:

http://www.acoustic-signature.com/index.php?article_id=1&clang=1

We did get to opportunity to take the train into downtown Munich (and it was jam-packed because their soccer team won the championship!) and experience authentic German cuisine and beer .

If you have never been to the Munich High End Show and are looking for a new audio show experience (at least I can say compared to the USA shows), get tickets for 2018.

Next week is the Los Angeles Audio Show (LAAS)

Hi Margot,

I plan to bring my KR PX-4s, as well as SV811s.  I might also bring a set of EML 2A3 Mesh Plates...

All,

I finally have made updates to the Vinnie Rossi website (show coverage), here:

http://www.vinnierossi.com/show-coverage/

-----

I am very excited to officially announce that I will be exhibiting in two rooms at Rocky Mountain Audio Fest this year!

Room 3018:  Vinnie Rossi LIO DHT Integrated Amplifier (with LIO X1 AMP module and DAC 2.0) with Clayton Shaw of Spatial Audio and his X1 Uniwave Loudspeakers, and Paul Speltz of ANTIcables.  T

Room 3021:  Vinnie Rossi LIO DHT Integrated (with DAC 2.0 and *hopefully* a pre-production LIO AMP 2.0!) with Harbeth Loudspeakers and Acoustic Signature Turntable (both distributed by Fidelis Music Systems, show demonstration models to be determined).

I hope many of you can make it - this is going to be a show not to miss!  :)
