I have for sale a pair of absolutely gorgeous Salk Veracity HT3 in high gloss burled walnut. I have never seen another pair listed for sale prior to or since I purchased these about 3 years ago. A move to a smaller condominium is the reason for the sale. These are by far the best speakers I have ever heard and certainly the best I have owned (and I’ve owned a lot!). These are accurately described as full range with clear useable output down to 25hz. The music has an authoritative backbone you likely have never heard before unless you are using dual subs. Highs are facilitated by the Aurum Cantus ribbon tweeter, midrange driver is a SEAS Excel W18 magnesium midrange with thunderous bass provided by the 10” aluminum TC Sounds bass driver. I and have compared these with $10K speakers and there was no contest. This is not only an end of journey speaker sound-wise, but the beauty of the high gloss, highly figured, walnut burl is difficult to describe.
In terms of overall physical condition, there are a few minor signs of wear. I would rate them conservatively as 7 on the Agon scale. One small ding (maybe half inch square) - can’t really be seen, just a little rougher if you run your fingers over it. A few other areas where the high gloss finish has some hairline marks. The magnetic grills are also included and look great – no pulls or wear, but the thin wood frames have a bit of a crack. I’m being very picky in my description of ANY flaws in the spirit of full disclosure, the only way these are even noticeable is under bright light observed from 6 inches away. The drivers are perfect. These can be driven with a SS amp of 200W or bi-amped with a tube amp on the mid/high and SS on the bass. I’ve cycled through many amps and would be happy to discuss with the buyer. I am currently using a reasonably priced McCormack DNA 225 to excellent effect and would consider a package price (maybe). The downside of this combination is that you will no longer have a need to constantly peruse Agon to find your audio nirvana because you will now have a system that beats most anything out there (within reason of course)
