Parts Express has the Yung SD300 class D plate amp on sale for $99 which is $40 less than their normal price. I've really enjoyed mine powering the the C&C bucket subs. Easiest to integrate and stealthiest sub system I've ever owned.

.33 cents per watt is about as cheap as it gets. :thumb:

Those are good prices. Did you see the price drops of the crown xls 1500? $199 will also result in some pretty impressive $ per watt ratio

Pgeist,

It's just not fair!  I'm 5000 miles away on the west side of the Pacific and can't take advantage of this deal. With my luck the amp will be discontinued by the time I can order one and put it to use.

I am still using an older BASH 300w plate amp on my main floor DIY 12 inch sub.  Good unit.

I am still using a 500w Dayton plate amp on my basement HT DIY 2x12 inch sub.  Good unit.

I bought one of those Crown XLS1500's with an eye on using it as a sub amp, but frankly it is very good acting as my main 2 channel amp.  If I ever go tubes again, I will repurpose the 1500.  It is a workhorse, and it sounds good.

I'd love to have a Crown XLS 1500 but it's 19 inches wide.

At 8 inches wide the Yung fits on my crowded rack.
