Where's the other half?  That SongTower looks lonely :D

Is there another pic to go with this one?

What a coincidence!  I'm wondering how to mount a song center and here is a picture of a perfectly mounted one.  How was this done?

Center channel mounted wrong, TV placement wrong.  Come on AC members, can we help this member?

Beside speakers was not put in optimal position, I did not see anything wrong with this set up.

Hi milford3 and all Audio Circle members.
If you know/see something is wrong with this newbie set up,
why do you need the help of other Audio Circle members.
Tell us what you see that is wrong.
Like Austin08 said, other than the left speaker position,
I don't see anything wrong with this system.
Like they say in Vietnam: Share with your little camarades...

Careful. Bliss is bliss. No rain on this parade. All values are not equal. I am very impressed with the setup. A happy room with some great gear. congrats.

It's an odd shaped room. The left tower is on the left of the fireplace. You can see the full setup in my earlier posts including the rear speakers. I am re-posting to show the cabinet Jim made for me that completes the setup. It's actually the best arrangement for the shape of the room.

We have a good friend who teaches NIA. Your system is set up exactly the way hers is set up (minus the fireplace).

Hi CMYKjill and all Audio Circle members.
Nice set up you have.
Color are well harmonized, everything is simple
and the props on the wall are simple and original.
By the way, how did you hang up the center channel speaker ?

I'm also curious how the center was mounted so cleanly.

And I believe that is the first cabinet that I have seen built by Jim (that doesn't have speakers mounted in it :icon_lol:).  Very cool.  Can you tell us about that as well?

If Jim built the equipment cabinet, he may also have modified the back of the Song Center cabinet so it could mount flush to the wall as in the photo.

This is just a guess.  He may have installed a french cleat behind the cabinet, and extended the sides, top, and bottom enough to reach to the wall while hiding the cleat and allowing room for the speaker wires.

I'll take it, if it is too estranged from proper

I actually highly respect making a living space first and foremost. If you don't have a private listening room / theater, being comfortable comes first. Even then, I'm all about being comfortable.

I prefer to have a window behind the center of my rig or near the listening chair. In both cases it's BAD for sound, but great for me.

Congratulations. Very nicely done.  My system should look half 1/4 1/10th as organized and aesthetically pleasing.  :thumb:

The center channel and rear speakers were mounted with a french cleat. The wire went through the wall behind the speaker. Jim customized the rear speaker boxes to fit in the space available and it worked out perfect. I will reactivate my original post so you can see the whole setup. The room is a large fan shape, not ideal for surround sound, but with the way it is positioned the living room, dining area and kitchen are all filled with sound. The receiver also helped to balance everything. The TV is actually a straight shot from the sweet spot.

@chargedmr2, the cabinet in not something Jim normally produces. I was relentless and he is a great guy.
