Sanders Magtech with Veracity HT3's
« on: 19 Dec 2014, 08:10 pm »
Has anyone out there tried this combination?  My Simaudio sounds great, but I'm sure more power will yield better results.  These seem to have gobs of power, but I'm unfamiliar with the sonic signature.  The next step up in the Sim line would be the W-8 which is outside my price bracket, so I am looking for something more powerful that occasionally come up on the used market.  Thanks

I've owned the Sanders ESL amp and used it on ESL's and regular speakers. The Magtech uses the same amp modules with different power supply designed for driving conventional speakers. Sonic signature of the Sanders amp was neutral, uncolored. Some folks prefer that neutral sonic signature paired with a tube pre amp.

I agree.  Very clean and neutral sound.
I use the Mono Blocks with my SS10s

I also have the Sanders preamp which is very detailed, with precise imaging.  I swap my Modwright LS100 in once in awhile for some tube action.  It gives me a bigger soundstage but with less precise imaging.
