Are you going to be at the Capital Audiofest this year?  I'm looking to listen to preamps to go along with my Khartago.

Get a Candela and save yourself time.

I'm leaning towards that but I really want a tape monitor.

Pretty sure Klaus can build you one with a tape monitor.

I am very happy with my Candela - just now starting to explore tube rolling, which is a whole new angle to have fun with.  With that said, it sounds great stock, should you not be into rolling.

What tubes would you recommend as a next step up in sound quality for the Candela?

You can't go wrong with either Amperex 7316 or Psvane MK II.
