Very true on all counts CB  :thumb: Both are excellent, but Terje Rypdal's After The Rain has always been a top 5 in my listening.

Top 'O the mornin'.  Both your's are favorites of mine. Love pretty much all of Eberhard's work, and was fortunate enough to see Michael once early on. He opened for Leo Kottke. As you can imagine between the two of them it sounded like an orchestra of guitars most of the time. Michael passed way too young.  :(

Have a great weekend. Pretty much a sheet of ice here this morning. Skiff of snow yesterday morning, then rain, temp maxed at about 34 then settled into 32-33 for almost the last 24 hrs. Winter in the great northwest.  :D

(last night) Ted Brown - The Complete Free Wheeling Sessions

Hat tip to Noirlander for posting this - I just had to order it. Thank you! :thumb:

Terrific release! Wow, I just love Warne Marsh and Art Pepper. This is a two-fer, with Ted Brown's first release as leader (I believe), "Free Wheeling", from 1956. Also included is Art Pepper's release, "The Way It Was!", from the same year. Although all of the music is great and I love it, I don't like that the two releases are on one disc as the sound is so different in its presentation from one another. The Ted Brown music is centered between the speakers, but Art Pepper's is hard-panned right/left. I'm going to have to rip/burn "The Way It Was!" onto its own CD. I really hate when the lead player emanates only from one speaker, as opposed to centered. But don't get me wrong, if you don't have these excellent releases you should consider this disc.
