45 rpm reissue from the analog master tapes

I have the whole set, but did not buy the box. I gave my 33.3 set to my youngest daughter, even though the first album is in Mono AND Stereo, I could not see adulterating the contents of the set.

Anyway, my ultimate highlight is Morrison Hotel's Waiting For The Sun. That song is HOLOGRAPHIC!

I have the 33 1/3 box set and bought the first, second and LA Woman on 45. You may convince me to buy Morrison Hotel. I don't think I will buy Soft Parade.

Have you listened to Brill Bruisers? I love it--better than Together.

I hear more and more people with no love for The Soft Parade. I don't get it.

I listened to it last night again, it's good, I agree.
I have tickets to see them in Detroit next weekend but it looks like I'll be unable to go.
I have a feeling Neko won't be there, it's just a feeling, though...

To me it's a one song album--Touch Me.

My 3rd favorite album. The Doors (w/ Morrison) didn't make a bad album.
They are all excellent. So I must disagree

From the Rhino box set. I decided to play it to see if it is still my least favorite of all the Doors albums and . . . yes it is. Bill, we will just have to disagree on this one. Tell all the people is good; touch me is great; don't care for the next 3 on side one. Don't care for the lyrics to Wild Child, Runnin Blue does nothing for me; wishful sinful is pretty good and I hate soft parade as much as I hate the end. One of the great things about the 45 rpm of the first album besides killer sound is I never have to play side 4 (the end).  :D YMMV

I remember buying "The Soft Parade" and Dylan's "Nashville Skyline" about the same time. I was disappointed with both. Since then "Nashville Skyline has become one of my favorite Dylan albums. "The Soft Parade", in pristine shape, continues to gather dust on my record shelves.

Not a big Dylan fan here, although I now can listen to some of his albums

Just attended An Acoustic Night with Jackson Browne. It was a good show in an intimate theatre. Oddly, he encourages dialogue with the audience, and people shouting out requests. He had 23 guitars on stage, most of which he played, and a baby grand.
