The Sopranos didn't use these speakers.

ScottF and I call these a character from the Sopranos with the initials B.P.   This is my take on JBspeakerman's affordable OB design.  I like them a lot but they are BIG and my baffle treatment does draw your attention to them and does nothing about them dominating the room. Hey Ryan, (vapor sound) the front is covered in leopard fleece from Walmart and I couldn't help but notice you don't offer that finish for the Nimbus...yet.      Bases are covered in purple shag, of course.

Very nice sounding and easy to build, but the crossover parts cost more than the drivers.  Thanks to Scott for the MDF and the use of the shop. (I owe you for the router bit we broke)  I'm still tweaking the treble response but it sounds just fine and is very surprising for the $ involved.  Cat litter box is strategically placed behind the B.P.   Undecided if it helps. :green:

Hey Vance, you need these in your living room and throw those Thiels away.  I'm sure your wife won't mind a bit.   :icon_twisted:

You realize, that leopard skin absorbs all those nasty little trebles that diffract off the baffle so you don't need baffle step compensation anymore

...oh the humanity!

Hey Din,
Retirement does things to your mind   These would look good in place of those Snell Type A.  I'll trade you even and even come down to pick them up.  Just a thought.

I think someone is spending too much time on his own since retiring. I fear that he will soon be testing the acoustic properties of padded walls.

Wish I didn't trash the 300B model. Those were cool looking but the BP sound much better. Anybody brave enough for a listen?  Promise I'm not at "The Shining" level yet

Okay... I'll think about it. By the way, do you have any other animal character selections?

Hi Jim
I live just west of St. Louis.  You can hear these if you make a trip up to GAS land for some vinyl, vintage and strange.

Din, I believe Wal Mart also has a zebra print if you like that better.  :D

Far out

Pimp my Speakers!

We need more whimsy in the audio world,  it's way too up-tight, man

Yep, whimsy is exactly where I was headed and Scott was a big enabler. We had lots of fun dreaming about the pimping. And John did a nice job on the design. I'm having fun and OB bass works pretty well in my living room.  Plus the real cats in my house have a new scratching place they can't hurt.
