Amazed with Bryston
« on: 18 Dec 2016, 04:04 pm »
Tickled pink having everything broke in BP26, 2.5(3), Pi and BDA-3.  I had Tori Amos midwinter graces on playing at mid level.  As I went into a room behind the stereo if I didn't know any better Tori was in my living room.  Completely in awe how terrific this system sounds.

It took me 16 years of listening and progressive upgrading and many thousands of dollars to achieve the pinnacle of audio sound I now have with Bryston. SP2, 2- 3BSST2, BDA-1,BDP-1, Model T passives, Paradigm Studio 100v2, Monster AV 2000, Yamaha MG10 mixer.

If only this pinnacle of sound existed in the 70's where would we be today? And it would have cost 10 times as much in terms of purchasing power. 8)

Congrats on the Bryston.  Nice speakers you have, too!   :thumb:  I have the 1027BEs now, but getting the 1037BEs when they ship to me at the end of this year.  Do you have the 1028BEs?  I love the Focal sound.

Hi all the focal's are the 1027be.  I've read the 1037 are even better with more bottom end to help.

Like most for years I did the good better best model.  Summed up as gave thousands away in the end.  Now that I have bryston I have absolutely no reason or 2017 wonder what new model is coming out to drive the price on this model.

I very happy with the sound, build quality and with the likes of the James, Mike P's and Chris the service is unheard of.

Wonder how the 1038 would sound haha just kidding!!!!

Both of you have beautiful systems

I'm also very happy with my Bryston 2B SST and BP-25 for almost 10 years now. When I will change my ProAc D18 (not soon), the Focal Electra 1038Be will be on my short list of must audition.

I have had about 5 pairs of proacs over the years and they all have been nothing but great.  The latest 148 really took me back there special.  The proacs are warm and rich where I would put the focal's fully balanced and a little more dominant up top but both do so many good things.
