Adding a sub to the KWI-200

Sorry if this a dumb question but I searched and couldn't find the answer. Are the preouts on the KWI-200 always on? I want to add a powered sub and am wondering if I can just plug it in via the preouts since there isn't another set of speaker level outs (extra binding posts). Thanks!
