TV/Movie audio rig recommendations....

Looking for some recommendations for a TV rig consisting of a powered sound bar and universal player. Let's say a max budget of $1000.00 and very user friendly.

Just to confirm, you're looking for TV, Player, Sound bar and cables for a grand?

I would think that would be really easy to do at under a grand.  50 inch Plasmas cost nothing these days.

The Oppo is a great Blu-Ray player.  I have two 103Ds, one in the main system and one in a secondary system.

I think the Oppo is a shoe-in. Anybody have any experience with the Vizio set-up?

I really like our ZVOX sound bar. I bought the second to the smallest one that they make because it fits perfectly on the shelf right under my TV. It is plenty loud and clear, and it sounds a lot better than some of those plastic soundbars that you see at the big box stores. ZVOX cabinets are made out of wood, not plastic.

Price is good too. Simple black box that sounds good and disappears in the room. Here is the model I have:

The oppo 103 is a no brainer. I'd pony up extra for the darbee edition - it's worth it.

In a soundbar the Sonos playbar is decent, well made, and very easy to set up.

The cost for both will take you over $1k, but I think it will be worth it.
