Can this DAC be upgraded? There is one on Audiogon which I'm thinking of purchasing.

Hope so. I upgraded from the Omega IV DAC to the AVA Insight some years ago, and the results were 'jaw dropping'. I've heard the same for upgrading to the newest AVA designs, tubed or not. The Omegas were very good, but definitely figure in some upgrading of you can. You won't be disappointed.

All the way on the bottom. Looks like you can only upgrade to the Vision DAC.

Though by upgrading after shipping, you're not really saving any money.

Omega III is a good sounding series.

Well you save a couple hundred over the price of a new Vision DAC.  It is completely new insides and 192/24 compatible.
