Mod to make your Grados comfortable

I bought a pair of the OEM circumaural pads/adaptors from this guy and have been listening with them on for a while.  Bought them because I love the sound of my RS2i Grados, but hate the comfort (lack of).  These are extremely comfortable and allow me to listen to entire CDs without strain or discomfort, and in my opinion there is very little change in the sound quality or characteristics.  I've tried Sennheiser 414 pads, TTVJ flat pads and the larger G Cush Grado pads, none of them come near the comfort level of these.  They are a breeze to install and don't require any other modifications unless you need to adjust the headband for the larger pads - I didn't, but this guy supplies instructions on how to do that if necessary.

You found some nice ones there....you should check out my Grado mod thread from a couple years back when a bunch of us tried all kinds of mods, woods for cups, dampening....it was a blast.....I'll see if I can find the link for ya.

What is a gradocomfypad? I can't get that first link to work for me.

I have the big salad bowl pads on my very old RS-2s. G Cush Pads. I think they are pretty comfortable. Way better than the L Cush that came with them.

I might try the tape mod on my salad bowl pads. Check this out : http://www.innerfidelity.com/content/evaluation-grado-stock-and-modified-ear-pads

There are a ton of cools things you can do to entry level Grado that will make them so much nicer.......The earpads I got and put on my modded ones are perfectly comfortable to me.

I just went through all the pics I could find of when I did the mods, man what nostalgia
