Bearing cup replacement on a classic?
« on: 17 Apr 2014, 09:03 pm »
Newbie here folks, What a site, treasure trove of info. from fellow audio & sound enthusiasts! My WTT classic is work in progress. So far I have replaced the arm and cartridge and just ordered a bearing cup replacement from dynavector. My old one was bent. Question, has anyone replaced a bearing cup on a classic? Does it pop out from the bottom? Mine is glued from the top. Any thoughts or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Your "classic" was built by Transparent Audio in Standish or Hollis, Maine. These days they are in Saco. I would give them a call to get some advice.

Thank you J Beede. Will do. I spoke to Mike Pranka at Dynavector who helped me tremendously. Very knowledgeable on any WTT's.
The turntable has a Dynavector 20x2l cartridge and is hooked up to Rogue Audio M-180's, Cary SLP 2002 pre amp and Harbeth 30's speakers. I am in analogue bliss! :thumb:

It should just be held in place with a piece of double sided tape.
