Questions on connecting A370PEQ amps
« on: 7 Feb 2015, 07:49 pm »
I have 3 A370PEQ amps in my system 1 for each main speaker and 1 for my sub. Right now I go from my dacs’ rca to the right and left amps and then from rt and lt amps out to the sub amp. I want to try going from the amp to the high level ins on rt and lt amps. Can I still use rcas from main amps to sub? Do I just jumper off  the amp binding  posts to main speaker x-over? Any pros or cons?

I take it that your DAC has a volume control?

You are better off using the RCA inputs if you can. And Y off of the pre-amp (or source) and run left and right RCA's to the sub. And for your application if you put the sub in the back of the room and run it out of phase from the front speakers that would work out really well.

Yes I use dac as a pre, don't need y as I use xlr out of dac for tweet and mid amp and RCAs for lows. Have Sonicaps on output of amp to take care the 80hz down for the tweeters. I was just trying to clean up my cable mess.
