Dear all,

I need some help on the following topic: I´m in the market for a new Dac and I stumbled over the RCA Line out output voltages.
One DAC´s specs mention a value of 2Vrms max variable and another Dac has 4Vrms max variable. Line out output impedance is the same with both DACs (47Ohm).

Will their be a negative/positive impact if I choose the DAC with the lower/higher value? Or will it be irrelevant and the Cyclops plays well with any DACs regardless their line out output voltages???

Many thanks in advance.
M.

P.S. I already dropped Klaus an email but he obviously too busy to answer my noob question ;-)
Therefore I thought this would be the right place here to get some feedback  :thumb:

It shouldn't matter. 2V is considered standard for devices like a CD player, but 4V is common. My Kismet amp does okay with a DAC putting out 6V.
For some amps this might be overload, not for Klaus'.
