I'm not looking for audiophile, not even for music.  Just something to use while watching movies on my tablet.

Budget is under $100.  I don't want in ear canal/ear buds, i dont find them comfortable.

For portables: Sennheiser PX-100 or Koss KSC75

For full size: Sennheiser HD449 or HD558, Audio Technica ATH-AD700X

The sale may be over, I picked up a set of Hifiman Edition S which are very easy to drive without an amp, the sound quality and comfort are excellent.  Even on sale they were above your budget a bit but really great performance for the price, even at full price.  I believe they have less expensive as well, not sure if over the ear.  What impresses me about the Edition s is how well they sound from just my iPhone.

The Grado I69 are below $99 and also easy to drive.  I can't say how well they do for long term comfort.

I'm not up on all the specs but you want to look for a set that's easy to drive so you get good performance just from your tablet.

Sony and Pioneer both offer decent headphones under $99, don't know any models by heart.

My Grado's are killin me for long term listening.

The Koss PortaPro is another great one (not familiar with the KSC-75).

They are essentially the same... just a headband vs clip-on.

I ordered the Sennheiser px100ii.  The Koss portapro was just too odd looking, and the edifier was over the ear, which I decided were too large.

For $50 I'm not expecting too much out of any of these, so I figured I can't go wrong with your suggestions.  Thanks!

The PX-100 was one of my very first headphones, and despite having gone through a veritable mountain of other gear over the years... I still have my PX.
