Have you heard them ? Can you hear them in your system ?  ..... You need to find out if the Harbeth sounds with your gear first. Never buy a speaker no matter what they are without an audition.

From the OP a few replies previous:

I'm going to borrow the 30.1s over the weekend to see how they fit. Will they block that worm hole? Stay tuned!

Charles,

Nola Vipers are $12k. Don't ya think they might be out of my range if $6k speakers are a stretch and $13k speakers are out of my reach? I'm sure they sound wonderful.

I'll take the 30.1s home (today or tomorrow) for an extended audition with my equipment. If there is poor synergy (which I do not anticipate), I will return them.

Perfect that you get to audition in your home. That is key!

And if you don't love them, at the $4000 price point, there are a lot of great speakers out there, especially if buying used.

Update:

The 30.1s are sitting on my desk playing sweet nothings.....levitating my body just inches above the rabbit hole....

Wow!

The JL sub is a part of the deal. Either I take both or no deal. Gee. Lemme think.....okay. I've decided.

Dude, that sounds like a righteous system. Double down on another sub for even more fun.

Hi, Neekomax.

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, my budget is stretched pretty tightly now. This opportunity, although wonderful, isn't exactly well timed for me. As it is, I'm listening to the 30.1s without a sub and they sound wonderful. I'll probably use the sub with my LGKs, or as a 2nd sub in my HT.

I could think of a use for the spare sub

I look forward to some listening tomorrow :thumb:

I didn't take the sub home yesterday. It weighs something like 80 lbs. I'm not sure I can get it up my stairs without damaging my knee or back - or the sub for that matter.

My next home will be on flat land.  :duh:

I could still get it today especially if I knew another phoolish someone were willing to help me lug it upstairs tomorrow. I think I know a person.

You may park in the garage. Carpeted stairs from the garage lead to the main floor. Sip on a Deschutes Abyss if you need to replenish energy along the way. Shall I leave it garage temperature, or place it in the fridge? [The Abyss - not the subwoofer!]

Actually, I've already got my Rythmik F12G sub on moving pads for tomorrow's GTG. The JL sub can't be too much different, can it? I'll let the JL sub wait till I'm ready for it.

This is great. Now you can just relax and enjoy - and stop wishing for something better.  From the others' and your initial  reviews, it sounds like a keeper.  :thumb:

Leave a opener by the Abyss in the Garage and I will carry all of it up :thumb:

I will be seeing the back surgeon on Monday for a little work :thumb: :thumb:
