Do your speakers have the 6-1/2" mega woofers? The standard woofer has the blunt wooden phase plug while the mega woofers have the aluminum bullet shaped one.

Yes, they have the mega woofers.

These are the most recent RM30s.  They are most likely the last pair of RM30s ever made.

As an update, I did a few things to improve the bass response over the last month.
One I re-stuffed my RM30s, this seemed to help a little. Also repositioned them and set them a little wider.

Now for the big improvement.  I purchased two of these subwoofer kits:

All I have to say is HOLY S**T!  I thought my tower IIs had some deep tight bass, these CRUSH them.
I know Brian used Dayton drivers in the pass, the Ultimax is a step up. Very nicely built.
Would recommend them.
