This weekend, an unfortunate event occurred where one of my 300B mono block amps flipped over (while playing), landing on the 300B output tube (on carpeting)... Long story on how this happened...
Miraculously, nothing was broken except the base became loose on my KR 300B XLS tube. The tube tests & functions correctly however it has a loose base. So, out comes the large bottle of Krazy Glue and away we go...
Good as new... Luckily the KR tubes, with their heavy glass & huge vacuum, are built like a tank. If my Western Electric 300B's were in there, fuhgetaboutit!
The Krazy Glue idea does work for loose tube bases...
