Is there a dress code and can I bring my dog?

Just kidding...on one of the questions.

Dress code will be "audiophile" : beard, bald spot, and beer belly, with cheap chinos or shorts from old navy and sandals with socks. Glasses optional but recommended. Oh, whoops, just described myself.

Your welcome to bring your dog as long as you both are ok with mine mercilessly trying to hump it. It's an alpha dog thing (and sadly not the headphones). If things go in that direction - which they likely will - we can put one or both in the gated backyard.

Picked up a Conrad Johnson PV15 preamp + Premier 11 amp tonight, so unless there's a request to feature the even more vintage PV10 + MV75A1, will place that instead in the living room and you all can help me enjoy this new score this weekend.

I'm not able to attend the meet this Sunday.  Sorry to miss seeing everyone.  I think Jon has cornered the market on vintage gear.  Save some for us, Jon!

My arm is in a sling with a broken collar bone.  I am doped on Vicodin and thus cannot drink any beer or wine.

OK, I'll be sure to bring some single malt ;)

But I will still be there.  I will bring Roscoe's cooler too.

See y'all.

Thanks.  CU all there!

And of course your music - all formats welcome (no tape).

For digital, flac on a thumb drive OK, or does it need to be on disc? :drums:

Oh trust me, you can take Vicodin and drink alcohol, it's definitely not impossible to do.  It makes standing up harder, but you can do it.

If I had known that Roscoe would bring his single malt, I would have cancelled everything and showed up with a large glass.  Crystal, of course.

Phil,
I'm proud to say that the napkins from Jon's previous, and infamous, meet are now appropriate for me.
So when did Floridians get access to the internet?

Somehow I think its gonna be tough to top that with a "100" napkin - unless its 100%

Jon,

Thanks for hosting.  It's amazing you have so many excellent systems all over the house.  My favorite of course is your basement setup with the Conrad Johnson ET5 Preamp and LP125SA+ Amp, the Auralic Vega DAC, the Magnepan 1.7 and REL T9 Sub.

Upstairs in your living room it was a treat to hear the Oppo 105D modded by Bill Thalman and the TEAC Reference 501 DAC + Integrated Amp + CD Player. And of course it was good to hear the Quad 57s and Vandersteen 2 speakers in your attic.

Good pizza, good beer, great wine and good friends was the perfect way to spend the Sunday. :D

Jon, thanks for the hospitality. Good tunes, good times and good company, what could be better? A shout out to Roscoe for the fine single malt.

Likewise!  Thanks Jon!  I had a great time and it was fun to meet you and some of the others in the gang!  Sorry I had to bug out early. I'll volunteer to host the next one at my place in Falls Church. Any suggestions on when?  I am fairly flexible this fall except for the first two weekends in October - I'll be out of town.

Best,
Rob

Thanks Jon.
Especially for having a Sunday meet. Otherwise, I would miss another MAAC meet.

Great time to see and hear all of the music. Mostly we just talked and lied and listened and drank.

Planars and ESL's (Quads even without you Rich, we missed ya)  and towers and tubes, and more tubes, and phones, and Scotch. Roscoe, you maniac. 8)
Paul and Rob and Steve and Scotty my Podna. Rim. Heal yourself bro. And Phil A. in absentia. And Scotthobby, and HAL and both f the Dan's. We missed all of you.
And if I left anyone out, Kick Me Please. :duh:
