I would be interested in it if it were balanced.

This seems way overpriced for what it does.

There is very likely one in the works, assuming that the Loki sells enough to justify a bigger brother going into production.

Did you order it with the expert installation for an extra $123?   :duh:

Seriously though, seems like a really good idea for a product.

I've had one for a few weeks. Totally transparent. Love it.  :thumb:

  • To whom more was given more will be required.
    • Never go to a psychiatrist, adopt a straycat or dog. On the street they live only two years average.

LOL when I ordered them I saw that too. I did spurge on the version that comes in a package, at around 2 bucks more.  :D

Forgive my ignorance, but how can tone controls be transparent?  The device is designed to color the sound.  Maybe I'm not understanding the unspoken but often used audiophile dictionary.

I've had one for a few weeks.  I mostly use a small cut on the 20 hz dial.  This cleans up the bass in my room nicely.  Makes the lower mids much more clear.  Some vocals are the best I have heard in my system.  On lp's that tend to the bright side a small cut on the 20k band and maybe on the 2k makes it much easier on my ringing old ears.  For now it is a keeper.

Well I did not want say anything, but I also found it strange, since its function is to change the musical signal.

Do you can hear 20Khz? Per chance your name is Bruce Wayne?

Excellent!  Sounds like you like it.  And thanks for the specific application examples.  I'll have to put one of these on my winter buy list.

According to the video posted above, the 20 Hz knob has a wide Q. It affects 50 Hz and 100 Hz almost as much as it affects 20 Hz. At about 4:40 in the video you can see what the EQ curves look like for each of the knobs. no Bruce Wayne needed.
