This.

Love it!

Make the baffle, the stand plinth and top a slightly different shade from the stand column and cabinet color.

Looking great Ed! Like Pete said, maybe do the baffle and stand plinth in black with lots of copper flakes.

When can we expect specifications and projected price on this beautiful loudspeaker?

It's too soon to project final cost right now. After I get the x-o worked out with Ryan and Pete, and have talks with my painter, I'll know more. Thanks for the interest though, guys. I really like how this speaker has turned out, and I think that it's a very different offering.

With big custom stands, the crossover could be moved out of the speaker cabinet.

The Auroras always had the x-o in the "plinth", in the stand base. Except for the very first prototype set that is. The width of the vertical part of the stand is designed to house the x-o. Good call!

Ed, nice looking speakers, nice to see them in the Vapor Room, time to gear up for a new year of fun and excitement.

Best of luck to you on the new speakers and our very best to all the Vapor family for the coming new year.

The VonOttos had a setback...one of the Transducer Labs magnesium oxide tweets have a very discernible noise. Almost like a sizzling snare drum mechanical thing going on. The other side is the flatest measuring output from a speaker that we've seen, since the Perfect Storm top end. Amazing!!! This TLabs mag-oxide dome sounds really good. Punchy.

Other than the tweeter mechanical problem, this x-o has come together well.

That problem is easily fixed.  Toe in looks similar to the Auroras. And the Auroras rocked!

I'm really proud of these. I love how this design has "matured" to this point.

How much bigger than the SBs/ Aurora are the Vons?  I know those SBs are a few feet back, but they really seem to dwarf them.

The Vons are pretty big. Heavy, too. They are big enough for a 10" woof. A real kick in the gut monitor.
