The soft hills of Southern Illinois provide beautiful spring greens. This was taken close to sundown, just a stones throw from our own farm.

Thanks Jerry.
As it turns out, S Clark is good at spending other peoples money.
He and I have been talking about knives and sharpening systems.
This is the first 'batch' of sharp knives from my new toy sharpening fixture.

Love my Wicked Edge.

Did six rack of ribs and this is a surprise for my dad. Going to celebrate his birthday and wanted it to be special.

Nice knife Pete!  :thumb:
Yea, there are too many options in life sometimes, and when you can't put your hands on something to give it a test drive, you have to trust the folks around you and look at the support chat for those items. That's why I went with the Edge Pro.

Speaking of cooking.... I caught my brand new #12 'camp' Dutch oven sitting there all sexy.....  :eyebrows:

Just a heads-up. We're 12 days away from the tenth anniversary of this thread.
Thanks Scott!   :thumb:

I thought I'd start a topic called Picture of the Day. This can be a thread where all of you photog's out there can post a picture you've taken (recent or old) that you think other people will enjoy. If you kept note of it, be sure to let everybody know the settings you used on your camera and be sure to tell us a bit about the shot.

Since we are an audio/music lovers site, I thought I'd start with something apripos.......

This is a pic I took a couple of years ago down at Eric Clapton's Crossroads Guitar Festival in Dallas. It was at the Saturday night jam session and Eric Clapton was doin' a big 'ole bent note. I was lucky enough to have press passes for the three day even. This pic was taken from the photo pit under ambient light conditions (I typically don't shoot with a flash). The camera I used was a very inexpensive Sony FD-97 2.1 MP. Unfortunately I don't have a clue what the settings were.

I wanted to make this post a Sticky but I couldn't find the button  ..... John?....Nathan?

WOW  :o

Ten years and almost 5000 postings along with almost a half a million views. This could be the second most popular thread here next to the "What Are You Listening To Now" thread.

I'm glad John R. decided to add the Eye Fidelity circle. It's turned out to be a really nice addition to AC along with the Tool Time circle  :thumb:   (that's a Tim the "Tool Man" Taylor reference for all you youngsters out there)

Din...another great pic!

Here's another dramatic Hummingbird shot. A male, Ruby Throated Hummingbird ready to make a dive.
