My Force XL is slightly too tall with the base to fit in the spot I have for it. Questions: 1) Right now I have it on its side - speaker facing out. Do I need to remove the base, or is it ok as is? 2) If I removed the base, it would then fit vertically in the space I have. Is that advisable, or should it be used vertically only with the base? 3) If I keep it in its current positions, ias there anything I can use to cover the screws with? Thanks

If you want to use it forward firing the base should be removed. However, sounds like it will fit the existing space downfiring if the base is removed and that would be my first choice.

Thanks. I just want to confirm that there's enough 'clearance' to the floor for it to be downfiring even with the base removed. By the way, I am very impressed with it! SG
