With all the concerns for privacy from the new legislation, what VPN are people using? Experiences?

PC Magazine has a review of a number of VPN services. May be too much to wade through. They do pick 4 out of 10 as Editor Choices.

Personally, I signed up with Private Internet Access about 1.5 years ago because of a 2yr deal they at the time. Haven't used it much but seems simple enough.

Thanks, I started reading that article; thought I ask for some thoughts and personal experiences from actual users.

I've started playing with the TunnelBear VPN chrome extension that offers limited monthly browsing privacy which you can test drive to decide if you want to purchase the full package. It's a bit glitchy on my Macair browsing but an easy on-ramp to experience how these things work. https://www.tunnelbear.com/

Torrentfreak.com does a survey each year of how VPN providers protect your privacy. Companies like PIA (private internet access) don't log your activity, so whether subpoenaed or hacked, they have nothing to give anyone on you.

I've been happy with PIA for several years on multiple platforms, and when Russia changed the law to require VPN providers to keep logs, they removed their servers PDQ.

The Opera browser has free built-in VPN in association with a Canadian company which is subject to Canadian (not Amerikan) privacy laws.
