I'm sure I asked this question about this a few years back, but I got side tracked & never got around to following through !

I suppose I wasn't also clear about what I should have been looking for. Any suggestions or direction to follow would be appreciated'

If you want something cheap and cheerful, Google Sbooster (about $330 from us dealers).

At around $1k Mojo Audio does good LPSs and could probably do something custom if one of his off the shelf units doesn't fit the bill.
