Another Newbie
« on: 17 Feb 2018, 03:34 pm »
Hi all,

Been an audiophool for most of my life. During the past decade and a half or so, I've been into high-efficiency systems. Biased more toward analogue than digital reproduction. And always had more of an interest in tone and dynamics than, say, super-sharp detail and imaging, for instance. But that's just my opinion.

Looking forward to learning a lot here.

Thanks.    :)

Re: Another Newbie (Posting to "Trading Post" Part 2)

Hi,

My query would be identical to one posed in this previous thread: http://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=153478.0

The OP there is exactly my own issue here – the poster asks;
Can someone explain to me how I would post equipment for sale on the "Trading Post"?. I must be an idiot--I've played around on the site for 15 minutes and cannot for the life of me figure out how this is done. Can someone give me a step-by-step? Pretend you are coaching your grandmother on how to send a text.....

Thanks!
”:
----------------------------------------

And the solution offered by another member at the time does not render a solution in my case:

As you can see here>
http://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?board=109.0
There is 5 sub circles in the Trading Circle:
Amplification
Source Components
Speakers
Hone Theater
Accessories

If its a speaker for sale you must start a topic here>
http://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?board=104.0
Dont forget price and currency, after the sale sont remove price or the text ad.
There is a bump policy you can read here:
http://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=454.0
Good luck with the sale
.”
----------------------------------------

Am I missing a step here – perhaps a ‘Start new thread’ button?

I also wonder if my ‘newbie’ status might be a factor. But then I believe I’ve already passed the minimum of 2 posts required to qualify.

Thanks in advance for any assistance in the matter.

Cheers.  8)

PS
I now post this here as a last-resort, as I find a similar difficulty in identifying how to start a thread anywhere (not just Trading Post). Perhaps I'm just as daft  as the OP referred to at the beginning of this post,  so please bear with me.  :duh:

Hi Curry,
In the Trading Post and starting a new topic in others circles I believe the prob was your little amount of posts, now you have 3 post and I would ask you try again.

To starting a new thread in others circles press New Topic
To reply a existing thread press Reply or Quote.

Hi Fullrange,

Thanks a mil. Will try again.

Cheers   :thumb:

PS
Bye the way, I share your outlook on fullrange type systems. There's a post of mine (awaiting approval) where I'd expressed my views on the issue in a thread seeking to difine the 'single-driver.'

Ironic that someone with the moniker 'FullrangeMan' would respond to this post right after I'd expressed my 2-cents worth in that other thread on the subject.

Hi,
I cant approve your post in that Circle, the facilitator is not me. Most xovers cost more money than the speakers it drive.

Well, thanks for that. (Oh, and, no, it never crossed my mind as to whether you were the facilitator there or whether you could approve it. Moreover, in retrospect, I think I'd prefer it not to be approved, as my enthusiasm seemed to have led me to write without thinking. Edit). I'm guided by your wisdom. And I'm sure you're right - come to think of it.

Thanks again.   :duh:
