Wow Chip, that's a lot of snow!  :o  We're getting pounded by raining ice just now.

In the meantime... yesterday, we had a 35 degree (fahrenheit) drop in temperatures. The weather in the last two weeks has been
crazy and erratic. This has brought wildly shifting temperatures, rain and humidity, but also has brought some fantastic
light and images.

I caught this pano yesterday, just before the rain hit. We went from 66 to 33 degrees in a matter of hours!

Been in the SF Bay area this week during the deluges.  Managed to get to Muir Beach where I got to see this drama play out.

Crows 1, Vulture 0.  Those two knew exactly how to play the game.  Fascinating to watch.

Bside,

Nice pic. Yes we have had random amounts of snow in December and now this week. We had a few inches last weekend and than freezing rain on Sunday and got hit Tuesday night with in my area I would say 9 inches. It is not suppose to warm up for us until Tuesday next week. The kids are off of school again today and holiday on Monday. Early spring break for them I guess. Very strange weather this year....

COMMON GRACKLE EXPOSED!

An ancient rumor has it, that the Grackle birds are actually high-tech, robotic, bionic mechanisms, which are in reality, drone satellites that report to an Overlording Mothership.
Their mission here is to wreak havoc, distress nature, steal from feeders, invade nests and collect information on common human citizens. They are part of a Neo-Sauron, video
network that has unleashed countless bionic spies. It is doubtful that these birds should be regarded as true life forms, as they were spawned in alien laboratories and placed
into the Earth’s atmosphere as a larger scheme for total, Satanic control.

They are also capable of inserting themselves (alien consciousness) into the minds of human beings. This type of possession is merely one of their annoying behaviors.
Therefore, when looking at these photos, do not linger with your gaze too long, nor let your mind wander. Maintain your presence at all times, otherwise you risk being taken over
by their captivating sight, which uplinks your mind, memories and thoughts into the matrix.

I recommend a quick look… then turn away… quick look… turn away. Don’t be fooled by their iridescent blue crests, strong beaks or penetrating yellow eyes. Tempting, but dangerous.

Here are a few shots of this season's, winter, wild, birds from the midwest in the United States. Even these "everyday" common, and sometimes overlooked, birds are very beautiful
Hope these images help to bring a sunshine smile to your morning.

Nice work, Bob!  Andouille sausage in the jalepenos?  What's the stuffing in the bacon rolls?

Now I'm hungry, thank you.  Yeah, yeah, I know, it's the least you can do.

You're welcome!  :thumb:

Beef meatballs wrapped in bacon = "MOINK Balls"
The "MO" is "mooooo" (cow = beef)
The "OINK" is pig
MOINK. Then sprinkled with BBQ seasoning.

The "Atomic Buffalo Turds" are jalapenos with cream cheese and a "little smokey" sausage, wrapped in bacon and sprinkled with BBQ rub seasoning.

Hey... I didn't name this stuff, I just cook it.

The two big long things in the top photo are pork tenderloins.
Enjoy.  :thumb:

That's great!  Moink Balls and Atomic Buffalo Turds.   :rotflmao:  Who'dathunkit?

I'll have to try both.  Cheaper to make the "Angels on Horseback" which are a shrimp or sea scallop wrapped in bacon and baked.

You da "BBQ" man!
