It is with great reluctance that I am putting up this very special Oracle DAC 1000 Preamp for sale. You don't see these come up for sale very often. I have been the proud owner of this unit since late in 2009 and loved every minute of it. It is in excellent condition and maintained in a smoke-free, kid-free environment.
It is both an exceptional DAC and preamp and can easily serve either function independently. It can be configured to work solely as a DAC via a simple switch on the back. I used it as both a DAC and preamp with multiple input sources: a Squeezebox Touch via spdif disital, a CD transport via AES/EBU xlr digital, my phono preamp via analog inputs and my HT receiver via analog inputs set in bypass mode. See the manual and specs for all possible input/output options... A highly flexible and well designed component that looks every bit as good as it sounds and it sounds incredible.
Switching between sources and options was a breeze with the excellent remote carved from a solid block of aluminum (see pic). Of course, it can be controlled from the front panel as well.
