I came across this site while researching Martin Logan Montis speakers--looks like a good one! I play the piano and listen mostly to classical music. Here is a list of my current equipment:

DALI Epicon 2 speakers
SVS SB13 Ultra sub
PrimaLuna Premium Dialogue HP tube integrated amp
Esoteric K-03 SACD player
Oppo 105 Blu-ray player
VPI Scout 1.1 turntable/Ortofon 2M Black cartridge
Musical Surroundings Nova II phono stage
Audeze LCD-XC headphones
Nordost, Audio Analysis interconnects; Kimber Kable speaker cables

I have never listen a Yamaha.

It's very clear and powerful. Some say they are bright, but to my ears mine isn't. Of course, a Hamburg Steinway grand would be nice, but I don't have a spare $150,000! I just retired as a high school English teacher, so I have to watch my budget--within acceptable limits!

Here's a picture that shows more decor minus my cat's tail!  :D

Great, thanks for inform.
I appreciated your decor room, certainly is a good room for live music-very live acoustics; if you place the B3 in a damped room its treble energy would be lower.

I suspect your B3 sound just as I have listen in recordings of a Yamaha Grand.
Enjoy :thumb:

It sounds great in my room. I like the liveliness. My listening area has a large rug to dampen the highs a bit. (This is an old picture: I no longer have that Pass Labs amp.)

There was a NY Times article a couple of years ago (you can google it) where people were literally trashing their pianos because no one wants 'em or plays 'em any more. How close do you live to a major city? Maybe you can put an ad up willing to haul away a piano for minimal cost.

I'm not sure what I said, but I love my piano and have no intention of getting rid of it! I live about 70 miles from San Francisco, and about 20 from Sacramento.
