Oh hi again! Well, let me tell you, the Omega Super 3i has a really roller-coaster, long, break-in period. It has a bit of a raw, immediate sound that you either like, or not. Bass rolls off at about 55Hz or so.
In comparison to the Sonus faber Liuto Monitor (which I have) the Omega has more presence in the midrange. The soundstage does not have the sharpness and specificity of the Liuto, but it is wider and deeper. Tone from the Omega is very good but if you put it side by side with another high end speaker you may notice a slightly 'cupped' quality to male voices, like they are singing inside of a tube. This characteristic was terrible during break-in and it has almost disappeared now, but not completely.
The Omega is very fast and alive on a 2a3 SET and performers can sound real. More than any speaker I have had, the Omega just gets better and better the more quality amplification you put behind it. Some people prefer the sound with solid state amplification but you lose the SET holographic soundstage and tone.
Hmm, I think that's the summary, I guess.
Hi srb,
No, I don't have a company: I work in healthcare.
