Air Tight vs Luxman

Air Tight vs Luxman

Given the family lineage, for those who have, or have heard both:
Air Tight ATM-1S + ATC-1 vs. Luxman MQ88 + CL88.

Considering a combo with the Zu Druid Mk. V.

Any thoughts appreciated.

I have listened some Luxman amps, they were best than Technics and Sansui at higher price;

Just a guess, but it might boil down to your preference between KT88's vs EL34's.  From the few reviews I've read, the AT would appear to be a bit more romantic..... the Luxman presenting a more "modern" tube sound. In other words, just what you might expect from an EL34 amp vs. a KT88 based amp. In a perfect world, it would be nice to try both in your system and decide.

EL34 is a very musical/warm tube, it embellishes bad recordings, which does not happen with KT88.
